2023 Virtual Childfree Convention Call for Speakers
And saying goodbye to the Childfree Girls Podcast.
Hey there!
In 2019, three childfree women in three separate countries banded together (virtually) to challenge Society's expectations of women as mothers. Calling themselves Childfree Girls, they created an epic no-holds-barred podcast and web series which featured numerous guests, hot topics, and a few parents and pro-life activists.
Isabel Firecracker (Colombia) says, “Judging by our first episodes, it never crossed my mind that Childfree Girls would evolve and become what it did! We were so inexperienced in podcasting, but we had an important message that we wanted to share with the world. I think that’s the biggest thing I can take away from our collab experience: it doesn’t matter how you put it out there, how imperfect you think it is… there is always someone that needs to hear what’s on your mind to know that they are not alone.”
Kristen Tsetsi (USA) says, “The biggest thing I learned over the course of doing the series and interviewing people is that there's a huge overlap in the experiences of both childfree and childless people. The childfree cause, or movement, isn't one I see as beneficial only to those who've made the choice to not have kids, as I once did. Instead, I now understand that it is, or should be, an effort to more broadly change the way all women without children are perceived. Whether you don't have any by choice or by circumstance, that you don't have them should never be used as a basis for judgment when considering the worth or character of the person.”
Childfree Girls aired their final episode this week.
As the third Childfree Girl, I—LeNora Faye (Canada)— am forever grateful for this collaboration experience. First of all, it was always fun. We have the most incredible group text thread we probably need to seal in a vault for 90 years. And speaking of seal, shoutout to our logo/mascot, LuSeal. I’m hiding my sadness behind humour right now, in case you can’t tell. It was time to end the show, going out on a high, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some deep feelings. We’re touched by the many messages we’ve received since announcing the show's end. And we remain dedicated to the childfree community in our new ventures. Every episode will remain available for replay on the Childfree Girls YouTube channel and podcast platform.
Thank you to the many guests and everyone who has enjoyed or found support in the Childfree Girls podcast and web series.
LeNora Faye, co-founder of Childfree Media Ltd.

LeNora and Laur continue their exploration into whether or not pronatalism has cult-like tendencies, using cult expert Steven Hassan's BITE Model of Authoritarian Control. This conversation is a replay from a previous live stream recorded in 2022.
In this episode, Evan shares his struggles with the first year of parenthood and how putting one's needs last can be detrimental to the family unit. LeNora asks Evan if there was anything he enjoyed about taking care of a newborn. They also discuss how little society encourages the self-care of new parents and why the comment "you're such a great parent" isn't helpful. Accidental Parenthood is a series created in allyship with the childfree community.
In this live-stream replay, Cody and LeNora react to the latest "childfree" articles as alerted by Google. When a list of adult-only cruise lines includes kids, they question whether the term "childfree" is solely clickbait or genuine.LeNora Faye and Laur Fitch explore the process of rethinking harmful indoctrinated beliefs surrounding pronatalism, the policy or practice of encouraging people to have children.
