Hey there!
Podcasting is not for the faint of heart. It’s a journey of finding compelling guests, editing, promoting, and staying consistent without burning the candle at both ends. The secret sauce behind the Childfree Media podcast is that it’s a community effort. Replays of livestream events produced by Childfree Convention and archived series from podcasts like Not a Momma Life, Childfree Family, and Childfree Girls (coming in May) add to the flow, which creates space for original content to be developed while building an audience.
With that, Childfree Media presents Candidly Childfree, where each guest has a series of episodes dedicated to their story and insights on living a childfree life. We’ve kicked off the series with Chanel, a future gerontologist passionate about Childfree Aging topics. I first met Chanel in 2021 when she joined Childfree Morning Chat, which was a weekday morning show I hosted on the Clubhouse app. The podcast link is further down in this newsletter.
Childfree Media is dedicated to bringing new depth to the global childfree conversation and we’re always looking for those who have yet to add their passionate voice.

Spinsterhood Reimagined
On today's minisode, I'm talking about why the most important asset we have is our energy. Whilst we may worry about people's opinions and judgements when it comes to our single, childfree lives, we need to wise up to this one truth: the energy that we radiate carries far more weight than our relationship status, our qualifications, our bank balance, or anything else. It's not about whether or not we've ticked all the boxes of society's expectations. When it really comes down to it, people remember how you made them feel.

This five-part series explores how self-care can play a part in our childhood, moments of grief, relationships, and mental health. And of course, we discuss the best ways we treat ourselves! New Legacy Institute
Today's episode will offer listeners a timely, often-missing conversation about one of the least considered perspectives in pronatalist narratives, as we delve into the multi-layered impact of pronatalism on children.
We will address current realities and future implications for the personal, social and systemic layers of the pronatalist agenda and resulting policies, for children. We will assess the reality of when children are centered and not, around the very meaning and value assigned to their lives and future possibilities.
We will also explore questions such as, What kind of parents would children choose? and Should we really all have children?
Our guest today is Kristen Tsetsi. She is the visionary author of the childfree-informed, post-Roe novel, The Age of the Child. Kristen uses her writing to explore and normalize the childfree choice, and brings a breadth and depth of perspective and insight to this discussion. Tune in live, to learn more!
Closing Remarks
Meeting other childfree people in person can be a heart-warming experience. Rebecca, an admin of Best Childfree Life Possible Facebook group, shares her recent story.
“I drove to the Des Moines area, about 2 1/2 hours from me to meet Amy and it was sooo worth it! I met her in this group and we really bonded over our love of cats and crafting! We exchanged Easter baskets, which was so much fun since this was our first time meeting. I feel like we pretty much nailed it since we've been talking everyday lately, like so many of the same things!
Her OBSESSION with Peeps is so stinkin cute! Some people pimp out, she is Peep'd the peep out! 🐥 She has so many more than I didn't get pics of for some reason. Our day was mostly and tell and hanging out with the critters. We got a painting tutorial in before I left. She sent me off with some that I can do on my own or we can do during a virtual hangout. I left her with a bunch of stickers from my stash!”
We love hearing fun and inspiring meetup stories. If you have any you’d like to share, let us know!
